Strategic planning is a core competency of the Center
Center research in strategic planning is currently underway- the American Planning Association will be publishing the Center's guidance on strategic planning for communities and organizations in 2024.
The Center is also both leading strategic planning projects and supporting other organization's strategic planning efforts.
For example, the Architecture Foundation sponsored a strategic plan to Freetown, Sierra Leone on how to optimize cable car stations for a proposed new aerial cable car system to enhance the cable car system and the neighborhoods around each stop. The Center contributed to this work.
